Description
The Maria BOAR SS195 (ボアー SS195) is a rock-shore jerkbait built for blue-water pelagics (aomono) worked from exposed shore structure. It measures 195mm and weighs 85g, is a slow-sinking type, and ships without hooks or rings fitted.
A short-jerk retrieve produces a sharp side-to-side slide-dart action designed to trigger the predatory strike response of trailing pelagics, while a medium-speed retrieve brings out a tight, strong wave-roll action. A magnet weight-transfer system shifts the lure's center of gravity for long casts into headwinds and rough weather.
Recommended tackle: a 10ft shore plugging rod (120g cast max), an 8000–14000 size spinning reel, PE5–8 line with 100–180lb nylon leader, a #3/0 treble or a 5–7g single hook, and a Maria Fighters Ring Oval #8.
