Description

The Timon Pepino MR is a 56mm, 2.4g floating crankbait from JACKALL's TIMON trout series, with a slim, curved body shaped to give trout a compact silhouette. A slim rip design keeps air resistance low for improved casting distance while maintaining a stable swimming posture, and the balance of the eye position and weight lets it work properly even on an ultra dead-slow retrieve.

Running at roughly 0.8m to 1.5m, the Pepino MR is built for picking off that extra fish in heavily pressured urban and tournament fisheries where trout have grown wary of faster-moving lures. It is available in a range of official TIMON colourways.

Information

The swimming action

The Pepino MR has a slim, curved body shaped to give trout a compact silhouette, with a slim lip that keeps air resistance low for casting distance while maintaining a stable swimming posture, and a balance of eye position and weight that lets it work even on an ultra dead-slow retrieve.

When to throw it

Built for picking off extra fish in heavily pressured urban and tournament fisheries where trout have grown wary of faster-moving lures, running at roughly 0.8–1.5 m.

How to work it

Retrieve it as slowly as possible; the body and lip are designed specifically to keep swimming properly at that dead-slow pace rather than needing speed for action.

The setup it likes

Suits a light area-trout rod for 1–3 g lures, a 1000–2000 spinning reel and 2–3 lb fluorocarbon or nylon main line, fished direct.
