Fenwick GFS (フェンウィック GFS) is one of two trout rod lines in Tiemco's Fenwick relaunch: where the FS series uses the latest Unidirection Glass for a lightweight, sharp feel, the graphite GFS series prioritizes sharp, versatile handling across a 12-model lineup suited to different fields.

GFS52CL-5J is a multi-stream rod built to cover both distance-oriented main rivers and technical mountain streams, casting 2.7-7g lures on 3-6lb line over 5 pieces. GFS49SUL-2J "Hunt Up" is a 2-piece rod for anglers who want a thrilling fight while still landing the fish, casting 2g-class minnows up to 3-4g+ minnows, spoons and spinners, at roughly 81g rod weight.

GFS blanks are tuned per model — the GFS52CL-5J carries load through a longer action for distance and line control, while the GFS49SUL-2J Hunt Up flexes through a shorter, ultra-light action that lets small fish put a proper bend in the rod.

What it's built for

The GFS52CL-5J covers both distance-oriented main rivers and technical mountain streams, while the Hunt Up suits smaller streams where an enjoyable fight matters as much as landing the fish.

How it fishes

Work small minnows, spoons and spinners with a steady retrieve and occasional twitches. The Hunt Up handles lures from around 2 g up to 3–4 g plus, while the GFS52CL-5J casts slightly heavier 2.7–7 g lures further.

How is it priced?
