Smith YAMAMOTO BAITS ARW2.75 Pintail is Yamamoto Baits' renewal of the late Hiroyuki Motoyama's AR-W Pintail in Gary Yamamoto's high-specific-gravity, salt-infused material, at the stated official length (2.75in, 9 per pack).

The maker thickened the core slightly versus the original to add self-weight and improve jighead fit, and lists it as suited to jig head, ネコリグ (neko rig), jig-head wacky, smallmouth-trailer and downshot rigging. Sold in Japan as ヤマモトベイツ ARW2.75"ピンテール.

ARW2.75 Pintail is Yamamoto Baits' renewal of the original AR-W Pintail, made in a high-specific-gravity, salt-infused material with a thickened core for extra self-weight and reliable jighead fit.

When to throw it

A do-it-all bass plastic suited to jig head, neko rig, jig-head wacky, smallmouth-trailer and downshot presentations across a range of water and cover.

How to work it

Fish it subtly on whichever rig is chosen — sink-and-pause on a neko or downshot rig, or a slow drag-and-shake as a jig trailer — letting the tail do the work rather than an active retrieve.

The setup it likes

Suits a medium-light spinning rod, a 2500 reel, 6–10 lb fluorocarbon main line or light braid with a fluorocarbon leader for finesse bass rigs.
