Description

CATAPY II (キャタピーⅡ, catfish/namazu-dedicated plug) is Smith's original noisy topwater plug for catfish (namazu, ナマズ) games, updated from 2024 with a glow-stick socket added to the head as well as the eye. On a straight retrieve, its metal lip (cup) produces a distinctive damp "kopo, kopo" popping sound, while the body kicks hard side to side to push water and call fish after dark.

It carries a double-hook setup for snag resistance (barbs recommended to be flattened for catfish games). Length 68mm, weight 16.7g, floating, non-rattle type, double hook #1. Glow sticks (Φ2.9mm chemical light) can be inserted at the eye or the head socket (not both at once) for night visibility. Released June 2024.

Note: this listing's species tag currently reads "species:bass", but the maker's official page identifies this as a catfish (namazu) lure, not a bass lure — flagged for owner review to correct the species tag.
