The 25ALDEBARAN DC 30HG (25アルデバランDC 30HG) is a compact technical DC baitcasting reel pairing the reverse-taper Magnum Light Spool IV with a miniaturized DC brake unit — the new I-DC5 — that controls braking force in 1/1000-second increments. This is the first time a DC brake has been fitted to the small-diameter 30/19mm Aldebaran spool.
An L/M/H mode dial combined with a 5-level brake dial gives 15 total brake settings regardless of line type. The maker's page lists it for black bass, black porgy (kurodai), and light rockfish saltwater games.

Is the JDM version different from the US or AU release?
Often, yes. JDM releases can differ in spool depth, weight and handle options, and the Japanese lineup is usually broader — including sizes and models never exported.
Will spare spools from my current reel fit?
