Description
The Slide Pierce is a custom hook built specifically for backslide rigging. Where a standard offset hook gives little freedom to adjust eye position once rigged for backslide, the Slide Pierce's dedicated worm keeper lets the eye position slide forward and back, shifting the rig's pivot point and centre of gravity to fine-tune the fall angle and speed — a nail sinker allows further adjustment still.
The hook itself is Ryugi's Pierce Hook TC, giving strong hook-setting performance even in situations where full hooking power doesn't transfer through, such as hooking a fish through cover or after a long cast.
