Description

Zigzag Bait 120F is the floating counterpart to Pozidrive Garage's 120mm Zigzag Bait, weighing 40g and rigged with a #1 twin hook on a #5 split ring. Despite the lipless, sinking-pencil-style plug body, the floating build lets it work shallow water (5-60cm range) with crisp stop-and-go moves. Note: this is a saltwater-tuned floating model — in freshwater it behaves as a sinker.

It is built to give a different presence to the water than the sinking Zigzag Bait models, suited to both day and night sessions where a shallow-running, stop-and-go swimbait action is wanted rather than a deeper sinking retrieve.

The swimming action

The 120F is the floating version of the Zigzag Bait, a lipless plug that works shallow water with crisp stop-and-go moves rather than the deeper zigzag turns of the sinking models. In freshwater it behaves as a sinker rather than a floater.

When to throw it

Suited to shallow seabass water such as flats, skinny river mouths and structure where a shallow-running, stop-and-go presentation is wanted over a deeper sinking retrieve, by day or night.

How to work it

Work it with a stop-and-go retrieve through the 5–60 cm range, pausing to let it sit before continuing rather than fishing it on a straight retrieve.

The setup it likes

Pairs with an 8–9 ft seabass spinning rod rated ML–M, a 2500–3000 size reel, 8–12 lb braid and a 16–20 lb fluorocarbon leader.
