Description

The Swing Wobbler 125S is a 125mm, 26g sinking topwater jig minnow from Pozidrive Garage, fitted with #4 trebles (x2), a #4 split ring and a through-wire construction. Despite being a sinking bait, it is designed to be worked on the retrieve at or just under the surface, covering an effective range of roughly 0-15cm.

The heavier sinking build gives it strong casting distance for a topwater-style lure, making it suited to anglers who want surface presentations at longer range.

The swimming action

The 125S sits low and swims with a tight wobbling roll on a straight retrieve, tracking just under the surface rather than popping or walking side to side. The dense sinking body gives it a heavier, more direct feel through the rod than a typical floating minnow of the same length.

When to throw it

Suited to open beaches, river mouths and breakwaters where seabass are feeding high in the water column and extra casting range is needed to reach them. Works well in low light, dawn and dusk sessions and in a moderate chop that breaks up the surface.

How to work it

Fish it on a steady, unbroken straight retrieve; there is no need to twitch or pause it to trigger the roll. Speed up slightly to keep it higher in the water or slow down to let it settle just under the surface.

Pairs with a fast-actioned 8–9 ft seabass spinning rod rated ML–M, a 2500–3000 size reel, 8–12 lb braid and a 16–20 lb fluorocarbon leader.
