The Palms BitArts Miniature Dax 3g (MD-3) is a finesse-sized metal jig in the Dax series line-up, with a 28mm body and a redesigned silhouette and weight balance built for light saltwater jigging. It comes rigged with a front original assist hook and a rear #18 hook.

Downsizing the shape and rebalancing the weight sharpens rod-tip response while keeping a settled fall, so it covers retrieving, working the rod, and dropping equally well for light saltwater finesse work.

The Miniature Dax is a finesse metal jig with a redesigned silhouette and weight balance that keeps its fall composed while still transmitting rod-tip feel, even at ultra-light weights.

When to throw it

Built for light saltwater finesse jigging in harbours, bays and light current, where aji, mebaru and other light-game species are feeding on small bait close to structure.

How to work it

Fish it on a straight retrieve, gentle jerk-and-fall, or simple drop through the water column; the rebalanced shape keeps the fall attitude stable so bites register clearly through the rod tip.

The setup it likes

Suits a light rockfish or aji spinning rod around UL to L power with a 2000 reel, 3-6 lb PE line and a 4-6 lb fluorocarbon leader.
