Description

The ST-56 is Owner's power-class "5" Stinger Treble, one step up in wire gauge from the class-4 ST-46 and ST-41. It shares the same silhouette as the ST-46, but the point taper is kept shorter, trading a little penetration for extra durability.

It suits saltwater, bass and sea trout fishing where anglers need to muscle a fish up over rocks or haul it straight aboard rather than play it out — the extra wire strength holds up under that kind of forceful landing on species such as flathead grey mullet and inshore pelagics.

FAQ

How does PE rating convert to pounds?

Only approximately. A common rule of thumb is PE size × 10 ≈ breaking strain in pounds, but it varies by brand and braid construction — check the maker's own lb or kg rating on the listing.

Are hook and jig head sizes the same across brands?

No — sizes aren't standardised between Japanese makers. Size to the lure you're rigging and check the brand's own size chart; the measurements on the listing are the honest reference.

The colour looks slightly different from my last spool — is that normal?

Yes. Dye batches on braid and finishes on painted heads vary between production runs. It's cosmetic and doesn't change the spec.

How does small tackle ship?

Packed in Japan and sent with tracked international shipping, same as everything else. Small items still get a tracking number; delivery time varies by destination.

Why buy JDM line specifically?

Japanese line makers in the JAFTMA industry group publish tight diameter and strength tolerances, and member brands are measured against them. Check each listing's spec — that's a per-brand claim, not a blanket promise.
