Description

The issei 海太郎スイミング根魚玉 (Umitaro Swimming Nezuodama) is a jighead developed to target rockfish holding in mid-water and chasing bait, letting the head swim through the target depth range in a horizontal posture without losing its action. It is designed for both shore and boat fishing. The line eye sits at the top of the head to help it hold a horizontal posture and stay in the target range while swimming; the head shape is built for swimming and also grips water on a fast retrieve to stop the lure rising too much, letting it swim level from shallow water down to deep water. The hook is a Cultiva-made hook with a sharp point and thick shaft to penetrate the hard mouths of large rockfish for powerful fights. The hook shape lets anyone rig the worm straight, and a 2-stage keeper on the shaft holds the soft-plastic worm firmly. A multi-purpose eye on the underside of the head allows an assist hook or blade to be attached for further tuning.
