Description

The Gamakatsu Land Jig Medium Double is the twin-hook version of the Land Jig Medium assist hook, developed under the concept of reducing the trouble of a hook tangling with the jig during shore jigging. The assist line carries the same precisely sized tube covering as the single-hook version — long enough to let the hooks swing freely, short enough to resist wrapping round the jig — and it is offered in 1/0, 2/0 and 3/0, each pack containing two sets.

It is aimed at shore jigging for mid-size migratory species such as mejiro and warasa (young yellowtail/amberjack), with enough hook to also stand up to an unexpected buri-class fish. Gamakatsu recommends choosing a hook with a gape wider than the metal jig it is paired with, and going a size smaller than the equivalent single-hook rig, to help keep the hooks clear of the jig.
