Description

Kan (貫, "piercing") is built on the trusted, proven foundation of Gamakatsu's Tuned Kan Muro jigging hook, defined by a deep-gape retainer-bend design refined for superior penetration. It's the standard-bearer of Gamakatsu's jigging hook range, with a thicker, sturdier wire gauge than comparably sized hooks; from 3/0 up the shank is flattened for extra strength, while 1/0 and 2/0 keep a lightweight round shank that's easy to rig as a double assist.

Once it has driven home, the deep-gape retainer bend holds fast in the fish's flesh, giving it excellent keeping power for extended fights with large fish or long retrieves from deep water – a power-fight style hook for shore and offshore jigging & casting.
