Evergreen Cover Creeper 8.8g

The Cover Creeper is Evergreen's compact finesse jig from the Combat Lures range, designed by pro angler Toshifumi Kikumoto for probing heavy cover that a full-size jig cannot get into and a standard small rubber jig is too fragile to fish. At 8.8g it sits near the top of the range, built around the same low-centre-of-gravity resin-moulded tungsten head but fitted with the larger, thicker-gauge original hook and the higher-strand-count brush guard that Evergreen reserves for the 7g, 8.8g and 10.5g models to handle the heaviest cover. The fine-strand silicone skirt is cut in three lengths for added movement and a natural profile alongside a trailer.

Fish it pitched or flipped into dense heavy cover, dragged along the bottom, or swum through submerged timber and grass mats where the reinforced hook and denser guard are needed to punch through thick vegetation while still triggering a reaction bite from pressured bass.
