The Bruco 50 (ブルーコ50) is a "nyoro-kei" (wriggling, worm-style) crank designed to keep producing bites across a wide range of retrieve speeds, not just on a dead-slow crawl.

Its body releases water without over-churning it, writhing widely through the water to catch a distant fish's eye while still putting out a soft flow that won't spook a fish once it moves in to look. As a nyoro-kei crank it responds well with a wide, writhing body action even on a dead-slow retrieve, but it also holds a stable action at medium and fast retrieve speeds without breaking down, which most baits in this style struggle to do.

The standard approach is a slow, steady retrieve, but because it covers such a wide speed range it's worth working through everything from dead-slow to a fast retrieve to find what the fish want on a given day. For a fish that's following but won't commit, mixing in a speed-up or speed-down over a steady retrieve can trigger the bite.
