Engine Like Five ES

The Engine Like Five ES is an elastomer evolution of the original Like Five, not simply an elastomer version of the existing mould but a body reshaped for the format. ENGINE elastomerises its Like-series worms for their buoyancy and drifting action, but found the original Like Five shape floated too strongly on a jig head, making it hard to hold depth; the ES reshapes the body to keep the elastomer's benefits while taming that buoyancy for easier range-keeping. The line's signature shibo (textured) surface, combined with the elastomer material and flat side panels, gives it a pronounced glossy shimmer, with salt mixed only into the belly.

Its action rolls through the front of the body, with the rear following in a wafting motion driven by that front roll — a tail action ENGINE designed to draw bites from bass grown wise to a straightforward roll. At an approximate self-weight of 7.8g, ENGINE recommends a #1/0 to #3/0 jig head or a #1 HS hook. It's sold in packs of 5, is FECO-certified, and because of its elastomer construction should be stored in its own dedicated tray to avoid shape distortion or melting from contact with other plastics.
