Description
The Engine Like Five 5in is a large-format soft plastic worm from ENGINE's Like series, completely re-designed rather than simply scaled up from the smaller Like models. It combines a roll-action body with the line's signature subtle wobble, salt concentrated only in the belly to reduce hook-tear when rigged on a jig head, and a textured (shibo) body surface that tones down flash for a natural look; the eyes are kept deliberately small with matte grey whites so as not to spook wary bass with unnatural glare.
At an approximate self-weight of 9.6g it casts well on baitcasting tackle for no-sinker jerk presentations, with a distinctive action at that weight. ENGINE recommends its own SUPERIOR CO #3/0 hook, or a 0.8g #1 to 5g #1/0 jig head. Sold in packs of 5 and manufactured to FECO standards.
