MUSHIEMON is a bug-pattern bait with a triangular, low-centre-of-gravity body. Two legs on each side generate a fine trembling action on a slow, straight retrieve while keeping travel distance short with tight table-turns during dog-walking, and deep body slits let it compress on the bite to improve hook-up rate.

Built for bass keying on insects and bugs under overhanging cover, docks or grass mats, where a slow, twitched surface presentation or a reaction down-shot bait is needed. It suits both clear-water finesse sessions and stained-water searching, since the profile reads naturally at a range of retrieve speeds.

Rigged weightless it dog-walks; a straight retrieve gives a fine trembling action, and worked under cover it can be twitched across the surface like a real insect, or fished on a reaction down-shot. Watch the line on the fall as well as during the retrieve, since many bites come as the bait is settling rather than moving.

Suits a 6'6"-7' ML to M spinning or baitcast rod, a 2500 reel or low-profile baitcaster, and 10-14 lb fluorocarbon main line. Choose a rod with enough backbone to set the hook at range but a forgiving tip to avoid pulling hooks on a short strike.
