The Daysprout Mesh 0.8g is a 28mm trout spoon developed under the supervision of Kazuhiko Kameyama, built around a silhouette designed to work with the flow of the water. It's the lighter of two weights offered at this size (0.8g and 1.1g), sitting alongside a heavier 2.5g version in the wider Mesh range.

Kameyama recommends fishing it once things have settled down a little after stocking. Despite the light weight, it's built for surprisingly long casts, and on surface presentations it resists breaking through the water, making it easy to create a wake. Its slim shape is also designed to draw a fresh take from trout whose activity has dropped off, helping the angler get a more reliable result.
