Description

NINJARI Worm is BlueBlue's wind-casting worm, built around a twin single-hook system: two single hooks project from the body so that if one hook point misses, the opposite hook locks the jig head in place for a secured hook-up. The maker built it to solve the poor hook-up rate of conventional wind-casting technique.

The L size is built mainly for offshore breakwater and boat fishing, designed around sinking it down and winding it rather than long casts; BlueBlue also suggests it for tachiuo (largehead hairtail). Sold 5 worms per pack, sized to match your jig head. This listing stocks the colourways listed in this product's variant options.

Information

The swimming action

NINJARI Worm is Blue Blue's wind-casting worm, built around a twin single-hook system: two single hooks project from the body so that if one point misses, the opposite hook locks the jig head in place and secures the hook-up. The action comes from the paired jig head and worm working together rather than the worm alone.

When to throw it

The L size is built mainly for offshore breakwater and boat fishing, worked by sinking it down and winding it back rather than casting long distances. Blue Blue also suggests it for tachiuo (largehead hairtail), making it a useful all-rounder for deeper structure around breakwaters and boat positions.

How to work it

Sink the worm down to the target depth on the drop, then wind it back steadily; the twin single-hook system keeps hook-up rates high on the sink-and-wind retrieve favoured for offshore and boat positions. Match jig head weight to the depth and current being fished.

The setup it likes

Pair with a medium seabass or light jigging rod, a 3000-4000 size reel, PE1-1.5 braid and a 16-20 lb fluorocarbon leader, matched to a jig head sized for the depth being fished.
