The GRANDAGE ATLAS C-SAFARI (グランデージアトラスシーサファリ) is APIA's large-pelagic rock-shore line within the GRANDAGE ATLAS series, built for GT, tuna species and other large pelagics. This listing stocks two sizes: the 100GT, and the heavier 99MAX for the biggest fish encountered from the rocks.

100GT: length 10'0" (3.05m), plug max 140g / jig max 160g, PE line #5-8, 460g. 99MAX: length 9'9" (2.972m), plug max 180g / jig max 200g, PE line #6-12, 443g. Both are 2-piece parallel-joint (NANO JOINT) rods built on TORAYCA T1100G and M40J carbon with NANOALLOY technology, SHIELD TECH exterior and FUJI stainless-frame guides. Target species: GT, tuna species and other large pelagics.

A heavy TORAYCA T1100G and M40J carbon blank with SHIELD TECH exterior is built to survive the sheer stopping power needed against GT and tuna species, storing enormous load without folding when a big fish turns for structure. Nothing about the feel oversells the specification; it simply delivers what a rod or reel built this way should deliver.

What it's built for

Fished from rocky points where the biggest pelagics encountered from the shore are a realistic prospect; the 100GT is the standard heavy option and the 99MAX steps up further for the largest fish likely to be hooked. Reach for it when the conditions and target species described above line up with your trip, rather than as a one-size-fits-all substitute.

How it fishes

Cast big poppers or heavy jigs and work them with maximum-effort sweeps and pauses, committing fully to each hookset since these rods are built to survive a big fish's opening runs at close range to the rocks. Fine details of speed and rhythm are best tuned on the water, since light and clarity change how fish respond to it.

The setup it likes

Pair with a large lever-drag baitcasting or overhead reel, PE #5-12 mainline, and a heavy shock leader capable of surviving repeated abrasion against rock during a prolonged fight. Local conditions and the typical fish size on your water should guide the last details of line and leader choice.
