Description

Faye-Faye Tail (フェイフェイテール) is Zappu's practical shad tail, built to combine stability with strong appeal so it punches above its size. The thick tail grips water firmly and holds up across the full retrieve range, from slow to fast.

Deep ribs across the body add moderate resistance through the swim and fall, which helps stabilise the swimming action while letting the angler feel and read what the lure is doing. A hook-point guard keeps the point concealed without hurting hook-ups, and a moulded guide seats a rattle or nail sinker in the ideal spot.

Like Zappu's other soft baits it uses the "SAF material" blend of salt, amino acids, and flavour for casting distance and long bite-holding. It covers everything from jig-head presentations to Texas rig around cover; the maker's recommended hooks are the Bellows Hook #4/#2, Bredy #3/#2, and Rigid Finesse #4–#2.

The swimming action

A shad-tail soft plastic with a thick tail that grips water firmly for a stable, strong kick across slow-to-fast retrieve speeds. Deep body ribs add resistance through the swim and fall, helping the bait track true and telegraph its action back through the line.

When to throw it

General bass fishing from jig-head presentations through open water to Texas rig around cover, wherever a reliable, easy-to-read swimbait profile is wanted.

How to work it

Steady retrieve on a jighead for the tail kick, or flip and pitch on a Texas rig around cover; the concealed hook point lets it come through light structure without excessive hang-ups.

Suits a medium-power spinning or baitcasting rod, a reel spooled with 12-16 lb fluorocarbon or braid to a fluorocarbon leader, matched to the jighead or offset hook weight.
