The Xesta Ikura Mushi (カミテールイクラ虫, part of Xesta's AJI CRAWLER line) is a 1.2in micro worm built, in Xesta's words, for "超喰わせ系" ultra-effective feeding — aimed at mame-aji (micro horse mackerel) jigging and light game fishing during periods when fish are feeding reluctantly (喰い渋り).

The body is four connected ball-shaped segments ending in a single ball tail, built with Xesta's patented Kami Tail System — an ultra-thin film sheet (0.025–0.05mm) embedded in the body that adds flash and action beyond what plain worm material can produce. Sold 6 pieces per pack, in 10 colourways.

The swimming action

Four connected ball-shaped segments ending in a single ball tail give a subtle, segmented wobble, with Xesta's Kami Tail film embedded in the body adding extra flash and movement beyond plain worm material.

When to throw it

A micro worm built for mame-aji (small horse mackerel) jigging and light game fishing during tough, reluctant-feeding periods when fish want a smaller, subtler bait than a standard worm.

How to work it

Rig on a light jighead and fish it slowly and subtly — a dead-slow retrieve or a controlled fall suits the segmented action best, especially when bites are light and fish are picking at the bait.

The setup it likes

Suits a light aji/mebaru rod, a 1000–2000 size spinning reel, PE0.2–0.4 or 2–3 lb fluorocarbon main line and a light fluorocarbon leader matched to a small 0.3–1g jighead.
