Description
ブラックスター (Black Star) is XESTA's light game rod flagship, fully redesigned for 2025 after nine years on the previous "Second Generation" blanks. The maker's official page describes the goals of the rebuild as making the blanks "lighter," "slimmer" and "stronger."
Blanks are built from Toray's T-1100G carbon, and the line now spans both solid-tip and tubular-tip models to cover nearly every light game situation - from jig-head fishing to split-shot rigs, minnows and metal jigs - targeting aji, mebaru, small migratory fish (mekki), barracuda (kamasu) and black seabream (chinu) across harbours and open water. This listing covers the S69L-S, B75MH-S, S74ML-T, S83MH-T, B66M-T, S63UL-S and S65L-T models.

FAQ
What does the power rating (UL, L, M, MH) actually mean?
JDM power letters often run lighter than the same letter on a US or Australian blank. The honest spec is the lure-weight range in grams on each listing — match that to what you throw, and use the letter as a tiebreaker.
How do I read Japanese rod lengths?
Japanese lengths are written in feet and inches as a decimal: 6.6 reads as 6 feet 6 inches, not six-point-six feet.
One-piece or multi-piece for travel?
Two-piece and telescopic travel rods pack shorter and ship more easily. One-piece blanks feel cleaner, but long parcels can attract courier length surcharges and some carriers route them more slowly.
What warranty or service do imported rods have?
There is no local service centre for a JDM rod. Repairs go back to Japan, usually with a fee and a multi-week turnaround — we state that plainly so you can weigh it before you buy.
Will a one-piece rod cost more to ship?
It can. Long parcels attract courier length surcharges on some routes and can move through fewer carriers. Any shipping cost shows at checkout before you pay — no surprises after the order.
