アピタイト (Appetite) is a sinking pencil lure that XESTA developed for light game fishing, aimed at rockfish (mebaru) holding around rocky rubble and horse mackerel (aji) feeding on larger bait - situations where the maker's official page says a pencil approaches the target more efficiently and effectively than a worm.

It is tuned to a weak wobbling action, and a fixed centre-of-gravity system keeps that action stable through both the swim and the fall. XESTA also built in its "Pivot Changer" (PAT.) system, which the official page states greatly improves the recovery rate when the lure snags - letting anglers work tight structure, fish after dark, and reach points they previously couldn't approach.
