The blank

A slim, lightweight, firm regular-taper blank gives the Rayz a light, responsive feel that suits anglers of any skill level, with titanium-frame K-guides (LRV on baitcasting models) sized down for a closer connection to the blank.

What it's built for

TENRYU's standard Japanese trout rod, built for the classic back-and-forth enjoyment of trout fishing on rivers and streams, spanning ten spinning and baitcasting models from ultralight finesse work up to larger river and yamame-focused power.

How it fishes

Work small minnows, spoons and spinners on a natural drift-and-twitch retrieve, letting the firm regular taper protect light tippet while still driving hooksets home on the strike.

The setup it likes

Pair the lighter UL and L models with a 1000–1500 reel on 2–4 lb line, and the heavier ML and H models with a 2000–2500 reel on 4–8 lb line or light PE with a fluorocarbon leader.

How is it priced?

We give you the cheapest available price, as we get it directly from the distributors. You pay what an angler in Japan pays, plus postage.

When does my order leave Japan?

Orders are packed in Japan and handed to Japan Post within 3 to 5 business days. You get a tracking number by email the moment it ships.

How long does delivery take?

10 to 20 business days on Standard (tracked) or Economy, or 3 to 7 business days on Express EMS with tracking and insurance. Every option is priced at checkout before you pay.

Will I be charged import duty or tax?

VAT is collected at checkout, so there is nothing to pay on delivery for standard orders.

Is it genuine Japanese stock?

Yes. Every item is the Japanese domestic release with the original JAN barcode, sourced from an authorised Japanese distributor, never grey imports or marketplace resellers.
