Description

Red Flip ReAction-TENYA (レッドフリップ リアクションテンヤ) is part of TENRYU's TENYA-MADAI series for sea bream, built for reaction-tenya style fishing spanning sensitive light "mame tenya" work through to forceful reaction tenya.

Blanks use TENRYU's MagnaFlex method tuned per model, with a carbon solid tip on the RF2292S-MLS, RF2342S-MS and RF2342S-MHS, and a tubular tip on the baitcasting RF2112B-MHT. Guides are stainless-flamed K-guides with SiC, and the reel seats use TENRYU's original NISHIJIN textile (VSS for spinning, PTS for baitcasting). Target species: sea bream, fished with tenya rigs.

This listing stocks four Red Flip ReAction-TENYA models: the spinning RF2292S-MLS (2.29m, 7:3 medium-fast action, solid tip, 1.5-12/max 50g) - a finesse model with a short length for kayak and shallow-draft boat control; the spinning RF2342S-MS (2.34m, 8:2 fast action, solid tip, 2-12/max 50g) - an all-rounder for both vertical and underhand-cast horizontal presentation; the spinning RF2342S-MHS (2.34m, 8:2 fast action, solid tip, 3-15/max 60g) - an all-rounder with a powerful butt and sensitive tip for light tenya in slow tide and heavier tenya in fast tide; and the baitcasting RF2112B-MHT (2.11m, 8:2 fast action, tubular tip, 3-15/max 60g) - built with a longer grip for fighting big fish with heavier tenya and reaction-style retrieves.

What makes it different

Built to fish, not just to sell

The blank

A carbon solid tip on the spinning models and a tubular tip on the baitcasting RF2112B-MHT give the ReAction-TENYA range a crisp, direct feel for driving reaction-style strikes, with TENRYU's MagnaFlex construction tuned differently per model for finesse or power.

What it's built for

Part of TENRYU's TENYA-MADAI series for sea bream, spanning sensitive light 'mame tenya' work on the RF2292S-MLS through forceful reaction tenya on the RF2342S-MHS and baitcasting RF2112B-MHT, suited to both vertical presentation and underhand-cast horizontal fishing.

How it fishes

Work tenya rigs with a sharp lift-and-drop reaction cadence to trigger a strike, adjusting tenya weight and retrieve speed to tide strength — lighter, slower presentations in slack water and heavier, faster ones in strong current.

The setup it likes

Pair the spinning models with a 2500–3000 reel and the baitcasting RF2112B-MHT with a small round baitcaster, both spooled with PE 0.8–1.5 and a 3–5 lb fluorocarbon leader matched to tenya weight.

Straight answers

FAQ

What does the power rating (UL, L, M, MH) actually mean?

JDM power letters often run lighter than the same letter on a US or Australian blank. The honest spec is the lure-weight range in grams on each listing — match that to what you throw, and use the letter as a tiebreaker.

How do I read Japanese rod lengths?

Japanese lengths are written in feet and inches as a decimal: 6.6 reads as 6 feet 6 inches, not six-point-six feet.

One-piece or multi-piece for travel?

Two-piece and telescopic travel rods pack shorter and ship more easily. One-piece blanks feel cleaner, but long parcels can attract courier length surcharges and some carriers route them more slowly.

What warranty or service do imported rods have?

There is no local service centre for a JDM rod. Repairs go back to Japan, usually with a fee and a multi-week turnaround — we state that plainly so you can weigh it before you buy.

Will a one-piece rod cost more to ship?

It can. Long parcels attract courier length surcharges on some routes and can move through fewer carriers. Any shipping cost shows at checkout before you pay — no surprises after the order.
