Description

Red Flip (レッドフリップ) is TENRYU's tai-rubber jigging series for sea bream, offering models tuned to different boat drift speeds, water depths and hooking styles for both vertical jigging and casting presentations.

Blanks use Magna-Flex carbon/glass construction with a C.N.T (Carbon Nano Tube) reinforced butt for power without sacrificing sensitivity. Guides are LG-top with K-series stainless frames and SiC rings; reel seats are NISHIJIN textile with Fuji PULS (baitcast) or Fuji VSS (spin).

This listing stocks nine Red Flip models spanning RF5101B-UL/VSN through RF772B-L/LN, plus one Red Flip ReAction-TENYA model, the RF2342S-HS - a fast (8:2) action spinning rod with a solid tip built for reaction-style tenya fishing for sea bream in deep, heavy-current water.

What makes it different

Built to fish, not just to sell

The blank

Magna-Flex carbon/glass construction with a C.N.T-reinforced butt gives Red Flip power without sacrificing the sensitivity needed to read a sea bream's subtle tap, with LG-top K-series SiC guides keeping the retrieve smooth under constant tension.

What it's built for

A tai-rubber jigging series tuned to different boat drift speeds, water depths and hooking styles, covering both vertical jigging and casting presentations for sea bream across nine models plus the reaction-style RF2342S-HS.

How it fishes

Wind at a steady pace matched to drift speed to keep the tai-rubber skirt pulsing, switching to the faster, sharper retrieve the RF2342S-HS is built for when fishing deep, heavy-current water with reaction-style tenya.

The setup it likes

Pair with a small tai-rubber baitcasting or spinning reel spooled with PE 0.8–1.2 and a 4–6 lb fluorocarbon leader matched to head weight and drift speed.

FAQ

What does the power rating (UL, L, M, MH) actually mean?

JDM power letters often run lighter than the same letter on a US or Australian blank. The honest spec is the lure-weight range in grams on each listing — match that to what you throw, and use the letter as a tiebreaker.

How do I read Japanese rod lengths?

Japanese lengths are written in feet and inches as a decimal: 6.6 reads as 6 feet 6 inches, not six-point-six feet.

One-piece or multi-piece for travel?

Two-piece and telescopic travel rods pack shorter and ship more easily. One-piece blanks feel cleaner, but long parcels can attract courier length surcharges and some carriers route them more slowly.

What warranty or service do imported rods have?

There is no local service centre for a JDM rod. Repairs go back to Japan, usually with a fee and a multi-week turnaround — we state that plainly so you can weigh it before you buy.

Will a one-piece rod cost more to ship?

It can. Long parcels attract courier length surcharges on some routes and can move through fewer carriers. Any shipping cost shows at checkout before you pay — no surprises after the order.
