Description
HIROISM BOUNCE (ヒロイズム バウンス) is Smith's power-game model in the HIROism bass rod series, developed by Hiro Naitoh and field-tested in Florida. It is built for pitching (rubber jig & worm), diving crankbaits and frogs.
It is the series' longest rod, engineered for fatigue-free, sharp handling through a full session. All HIROism models are baitcasting; PDF1 is a 1-piece build and PDF2 is a 2-piece build. Guides are Fuji stainless-frame SiC-S across the blank (titanium-frame SiC on the top guide only), set in a spiral guide layout that rotates roughly 30° per guide from the butt up to a 180°-opposed tip and second guide, reducing line-to-blank contact under heavy pressure and keeping lure flight straight on overhead and side casts. The grip is high-grade cork with a Fuji PMTS (Palming Micro Trigger Seat) reel seat; the PDF2's 2-piece ferrule is an over-ferrule matched to feel like the 1-piece, with a white marking line for spiral-guide alignment. Released May 2024.
This listing is the HIM-B66H-PDF2: 6'6", 127g, rated for 1/4-1 1/4oz lures and 12-25lb line, Heavy power / Fast action, 255mm rear grip, 102.5cm packed length (2pcs), 40t graphite blank, 2.1mm tip diameter. Suited to rubber jigs, worm (Texas rig), diving crankbaits and frogs.

FAQ
What does the power rating (UL, L, M, MH) actually mean?
JDM power letters often run lighter than the same letter on a US or Australian blank. The honest spec is the lure-weight range in grams on each listing — match that to what you throw, and use the letter as a tiebreaker.
How do I read Japanese rod lengths?
Japanese lengths are written in feet and inches as a decimal: 6.6 reads as 6 feet 6 inches, not six-point-six feet.
One-piece or multi-piece for travel?
Two-piece and telescopic travel rods pack shorter and ship more easily. One-piece blanks feel cleaner, but long parcels can attract courier length surcharges and some carriers route them more slowly.
What warranty or service do imported rods have?
There is no local service centre for a JDM rod. Repairs go back to Japan, usually with a fee and a multi-week turnaround — we state that plainly so you can weigh it before you buy.
Will a one-piece rod cost more to ship?
It can. Long parcels attract courier length surcharges on some routes and can move through fewer carriers. Any shipping cost shows at checkout before you pay — no surprises after the order.
