Description
TROUTIN' SPIN DAGGER STREAM (トラウティンスピン ダガーストリーム) is Smith's telescopic pack-rod model, built for standout mobility — extend it the moment you take it out of your pack.
Pack length is kept as short as practical while pursuing a design less prone to breakage or sticking running guides. Action is set to a basic, moderate taper with broad lure tolerance. Rather than off-the-shelf running guides, the system fixes thread-wrapped guides onto a carbon pipe, letting the pipe's inner diameter be fine-tuned toward a natural, conventional thread-wrap guide feel without robbing the blank of casting/fighting power.
6-piece telescopic construction across two sub-lines: DS-TES spinning models and DS-TEC baitcasting models, aimed at source-stream and small-stream fields. Guides are Fuji SiC-S on a stainless frame, carbon-pipe spec; grip is down-lock type; only the #1 section uses solid carbon.

FAQ
What does the power rating (UL, L, M, MH) actually mean?
JDM power letters often run lighter than the same letter on a US or Australian blank. The honest spec is the lure-weight range in grams on each listing — match that to what you throw, and use the letter as a tiebreaker.
How do I read Japanese rod lengths?
Japanese lengths are written in feet and inches as a decimal: 6.6 reads as 6 feet 6 inches, not six-point-six feet.
One-piece or multi-piece for travel?
Two-piece and telescopic travel rods pack shorter and ship more easily. One-piece blanks feel cleaner, but long parcels can attract courier length surcharges and some carriers route them more slowly.
What warranty or service do imported rods have?
There is no local service centre for a JDM rod. Repairs go back to Japan, usually with a fee and a multi-week turnaround — we state that plainly so you can weigh it before you buy.
Will a one-piece rod cost more to ship?
It can. Long parcels attract courier length surcharges on some routes and can move through fewer carriers. Any shipping cost shows at checkout before you pay — no surprises after the order.
