ダガーストリーム (part of Smith's TROUTIN' SPIN DAGGER STREAM family) is a telescopic pack-rod, engineered for standout mobility — extend it straight from your pack the moment you reach the water. Pack-down length is kept as short as practical while pursuing a design less prone to breakage or sticking running guides, with a basic moderate-taper action and broad lure tolerance.
Rather than off-the-shelf running guides, the system fixes thread-wrapped guides onto a carbon pipe, letting the pipe's inner diameter be fine-tuned toward a natural, conventional guide feel without robbing the blank of power when fighting fish.
Models in this listing are the newly added "L"-power 6-piece telescopic models, aimed at source-stream and small-stream fields: DS-TEC47L and DS-TEC50L (casting, 4'7"/5', Light power, Moderate action, 72–73g, up to ~9g lures, ~6lb line, 24t graphite, 1.3mm tip) and DS-TES47L and DS-TES50L (spinning, same lengths/specs). Blank is 24t graphite with a solid-carbon #1 section; grip uses a natural-wood spacer with down-lock reel seat; guides are Fuji SiC-S/stainless on carbon pipe.

JDM power letters often run lighter than the same letter on a US or Australian blank. The honest spec is the lure-weight range in grams on each listing — match that to what you throw, and use the letter as a tiebreaker.
How do I read Japanese rod lengths?
Japanese lengths are written in feet and inches as a decimal: 6.6 reads as 6 feet 6 inches, not six-point-six feet.
One-piece or multi-piece for travel?
