Description

The Heavy Guard Talisman is a guarded wacky-style hook built on Ryugi's Talisman shape, adjusted to carry a stronger weed guard. It's intended for power spinning or baitcasting tackle rated 6lb line or heavier, for use from light cover through to moderately dense cover.

The guard uses two carefully selected wires with strong resilience, set to flare left and right so it protects against contact with structure not just from directly ahead but from the sides as well. The guard tips are deliberately not seated onto the hook point, avoiding the need to reset a dislodged guard, and the shape also makes it easy to reform the guard by hand after landing a fish; the guard can be bent back toward the line eye to increase its snag resistance further. Finished in TC Black.
