The swimming action

RAG is a soft plastic lure from Rodio Craft, supplied in a small run of colourways. Like most soft plastics of this kind, its action comes from the rigging and retrieve rather than a fixed built-in wobble, so how it swims depends on the jighead or hook weight used.

When to throw it

A general-purpose soft plastic for building out a rotation of finesse or search baits, useful whenever a slower, more subtle presentation is wanted than a hard lure would give.

How to work it

Rig it on a jighead or offset hook sized to the water depth and current, and work it with a slow retrieve, twitches or a straight swim depending on how the fish are responding.

The setup it likes

Suits a light to medium spinning outfit, main line matched to the jighead weight used, and a fluorocarbon leader sized to the target species.
