SALTYFIELD (ソルティーフィールド) is Abu Garcia's versatile light-saltwater rod series, built to be used across many fishing fields rather than being limited to one target species or location.

This listing stocks two configurations: SFC-702ML, a 7'0" Medium Light baitcasting rod (85% carbon / 15% glass) rated for 2-24g lures, and SFS-1002MH, a 10'0" Medium Heavy spinning rod (94% carbon / 6% glass) rated for 20-80g lures.

The series targets species such as aji (horse mackerel), mebaru (rockfish), seabass, hirame (flounder), and pelagic species (aomono).

Two distinct builds cover different ends of light-saltwater fishing: the 7'0" ML baitcasting model for close, accurate work, and the 10'0" MH spinning model for longer casts and bigger lures.

Versatile across many light-saltwater situations rather than one target, suited to aji, mebaru, seabass, hirame and aomono depending on the model and location fished.

How it fishes

Handles small plugs and jigs on the 702ML for finesse presentations, and heavier metal jigs or bigger plugs on the 1002MH for casting distance and pelagic power.

The setup it likes

Pair a 2000–2500 size reel with the 702ML on 6–10lb line, or a 4000–5000 size spinning reel with the 1002MH on 20–30lb braid, matched to lure weight.
