Palms Rush Dive 180

Grand Bites RUSH DIVE (グランバイツ ラッシュダイブ) is Palms' first Grand Bites model and its diving-pencil foundation piece. Diving pencils are often the backbone lure category for targeting large migratory fish, rock-shore fishing included — which is exactly why they're expected to deliver well-rounded, all-round performance. Rush Dive pursues a body shape that reacts strongly to angler input: even a short jerk reliably grips the water and produces a side-flashing roll as the body turns on its side, and its head shape keeps gripping water in some chop, extending where the lure can work.

Palms built the body around a bulkhead structure with multiple internal ribs so it keeps working under heavy load from big targets or rugged rocky shoreline, spacing the ribs around the internal wire to preserve as much hollow volume as possible for a livelier response to input, with wire-through eyes for a tough connection. After the dive, the head shape bites the water firmly, keeping errors down in high or choppy conditions and letting anglers work it all the way to their feet; it also acts like a lip, so a straight retrieve after diving adds a swimming action that includes the side-flash roll. Long casting distance, strong response, and few mis-fires make it the series' foundation model.
