Description

Nishine Lure Works NISHINE NAMAZU (NISHINE NAMAZU) is a catfish-fry-shaped stick bait built on the idea that bass sharing habitat with juvenile catfish will eat them — slow-moving fry with no spines, poison or hard scales.

The body is a soft material mixed with a heavy dose of salt for a dense, natural fall and feel. It's built to skip under cover like boat docks and fallen timber on a no-weight rig, and pairs especially well with an offset hook no-sinker setup; it also rigs on a Texas rig, direct rig, heavy Carolina rig, wacky rig or weighted hook.

This 4in (100mm) size weighs approximately 7.0g per bait and is packed 5 to a pack.

Information

The swimming action

A salt-loaded soft body gives a dense, natural fall and feel, mimicking a slow-moving catfish fry that bass see as an easy, unguarded meal.

When to throw it

Suited to skipping under docks, fallen timber and other heavy shade cover where bass sit tight, particularly on tough, high-pressure days.

How to work it

Best fished weightless on an offset hook, letting it skip and fall on slack line; also works on Texas rig, direct rig, heavy Carolina rig, wacky rig or a weighted hook.

The setup it likes

A casting outfit around 7'0" M-MH, 7:1 baitcaster and 12-16lb fluorocarbon suits skipping and pitching this bait around cover.
