Description

The Megabass SOKOPPA (ソコッパ) is a 40g casting blade bait purpose-built for bottom fishing: take the bottom and just retrieve. A low center-of-gravity body gets the lure down and swimming quickly, while a distinctive back fin acts as a bumper to keep the hook riding clear of rocks and snags on the retrieve. Megabass's patented Blade Hook System (PAT.P) turns blade flash and tinsel-hook movement into hook-ups, and a customisable eye lets anglers fit an optional double or triple hook. Standard techniques are steady retrieve, stop-and-go, and lift-and-fall.

Official target species: mebaru (Japanese rockfish), kasago (scorpionfish), soi (rockfish), hata (grouper), ainame (greenling), flounder (hirame), flathead (magochi), Spanish mackerel (sawara), amberjack (buri, including juvenile inada/warasa stages), seabass, red sea bream (madai), and black sea bream (kurodai).
