The swimming action

Twin synchronised LBO II moving balancers keep the jointed body flying straight and casting far, then drive a wide rolling wake with tail swing and flash on the retrieve — Megabass calls the resulting disturbance the "ramble tail", built to draw distant, neutral fish and trigger reaction strikes from hesitant surface feeders.

When to throw it

Best in calm to lightly rippled water when bass are keyed on the surface — low light, warm months, and open water near isolated cover or points where a big, slow-moving wake bait can pull fish from a distance.

How to work it

Wind it dead slow and steady to let the wake build; short pauses over cover let the joint settle and flash before you draw it away again. Resist speeding up — the action is built for a crawl, not a burn.

The setup it likes

A 7'-7'6" medium-heavy glass or composite rod with a soft tip protects the trebles on a big surface blowup, matched to 50-65lb braid and a 6.3:1 reel with the torque to keep the joint swimming true.
