HAMA-OH (浜王) is Major Craft's dedicated flat-game lure, pairing a purpose-built jig head with a matching worm to carefully work points where flatfish (flounder) are holding, as an alternative to the long-casting Jigpara Surf.

This is the 4-inch Shad Tail (HMO-SHAD4) refill worm only — the jig head is sold separately. A built-in rattle chamber adds extra sound appeal, and colours span realistic live-bait, glow, and fluorescent finishes, 4 worms per pack.

The swimming action

The Shad Tail is a soft-plastic paddle-tail worm built as a refill for Major Craft's HAMA-OH jig head system. The tail kicks and wobbles when worked over a jig head, and a built-in rattle chamber adds extra sound to draw fish in from a distance.

When to throw it

Rig onto a HAMA-OH or similar flat-game jig head to fish points and structure holding flatfish (flounder/hirame). A useful refill for keeping a proven head fishing after the factory worm wears out or is bitten off.

How to work it

Thread it onto the jig head, sink to the bottom, and work it with a slow lift-and-drag or steady slow roll so the tail keeps kicking and the rattle keeps working. Replace worn or torn tails to keep the head fishing at its best.

The setup it likes

Matches whatever rod and reel the jig head is paired with -- typically a ML to M flat-game spinning rod, 2500-3000 reel, PE 0.8-1.5 braid and 12-20 lb fluorocarbon leader.
