CHILD SIDE (チャイルドサイド) is Legit Design's bass rod series built to teach children the fundamentals of lure fishing casting and retrieve. The CSC53ML-2 is the bait casting model, sized for anglers around 140cm tall.

Length 1.60m, 2-piece center-cut construction, 84g, MF action, rated for lures up to 14g on 8-14lb line, with a 190mm rear grip. The blank uses a 95% carbon / 5% fiberglass layup with aramid-fibre reinforcement carried over from Legit Design's adult WILD SIDE rods, paired with Fuji stainless-steel A-ring guides and an EVA grip.
