What makes it different

Built to fish, not just to sell

The blank

Built for extreme durability and load capacity, the Monster Absorber range is engineered to fight at up to a 90-degree rod angle against large game fish while reducing angler fatigue, using low-elasticity carbon blanks matched to each sub-series.

What it's built for

Offshore big-game casting and jigging for yellowfin tuna and greater amberjack, spanning Power Casting, Power Jigging and 55/B Power Jigging sub-series for different depths and techniques.

How it fishes

Casting models are worked on a fast, steady plug retrieve; jigging models suit a full jigging stroke for depths beyond 60m.

The setup it likes

Pairs with a large casting or jigging reel sized to the sub-series, heavy PE braid and a heavy fluorocarbon leader for tuna and amberjack.

FAQ

What does the power rating (UL, L, M, MH) actually mean?

JDM power letters often run lighter than the same letter on a US or Australian blank. The honest spec is the lure-weight range in grams on each listing — match that to what you throw, and use the letter as a tiebreaker.

How do I read Japanese rod lengths?

Japanese lengths are written in feet and inches as a decimal: 6.6 reads as 6 feet 6 inches, not six-point-six feet.

One-piece or multi-piece for travel?

Two-piece and telescopic travel rods pack shorter and ship more easily. One-piece blanks feel cleaner, but long parcels can attract courier length surcharges and some carriers route them more slowly.

What warranty or service do imported rods have?

There is no local service centre for a JDM rod. Repairs go back to Japan, usually with a fee and a multi-week turnaround — we state that plainly so you can weigh it before you buy.

Will a one-piece rod cost more to ship?

It can. Long parcels attract courier length surcharges on some routes and can move through fewer carriers. Any shipping cost shows at checkout before you pay — no surprises after the order.
