Fugu fishing from a boat: PRF-178M for bay-style (wan-fugu) fishing, PRF-178MH for kattou snagging-style, and PRF-188H for large tiger puffer (torafugu).

How it fishes

Work the rig on a slow lift-and-drop presentation suited to fugu's cautious bite, using the solid tip to read subtle taps before the hookset.

The setup it likes

Pairs with a small baitcast reel, PE0.6-3.0 braid depending on model, and a wire or heavy fluorocarbon leader (fugu have sharp teeth).
