issei Rockfish Ball 3g

The issei Umitaro Rockfish Ball 3g (海太郎 根魚玉) is a silver-plated jighead from issei's Umitaro range, built around an irregular, sphere-based octahedral head. issei shaped the front-to-bottom face smooth and flat with no sharp edges so the head rides up and over rock instead of wedging into gaps between them -- a design built specifically for fishing snag-prone rockfish ground aggressively rather than avoiding it. This 3g version is fitted with a #2 Cultiva (Gamakatsu) multi-offset hook finished with a fluorine coating for strong hook penetration.

The line-eye position was tuned through repeated testing so that even if the head rolls onto its side, a tug on the line rights it straight back to a base-down posture, letting it be worked with small twitches on the spot rather than dragged back into position. It ships as a bare jighead in a silver-plate finish only, ready to be rigged with a separately-purchased soft-plastic worm.
