Description
The Issei Bulky Spatera 2.5in is issei's thicker-bodied take on the Spatera, from the Umitaro (海太郎) saltwater range: shorter and stouter through the body with a slightly smaller tail, giving a bigger silhouette and stronger water push than the standard Spatera. Deep ribbing runs the full length of the body, keeping the profile bulky while still allowing a supple, wriggling swim.
Good suction draws the bait deep into the mouth for a higher hook-up rate, and issei notes it is effective for targeting large aji on bachiko-style tenya rigs. The 2.5in size is recommended with a thick-shank gold hook.
