The Sasuke SS-50 is a slow-sinking hard lure from ima's Sasuke minnow line, 50 mm and 1.7 g, tuned for low-activity fish that won't respond to a strong action and built to stall on a pinpoint pause after a twitch near structure.

When to throw it

Its main target is mebaru (rockfish), fished tight to harbour structure, breakwaters and rocky shorelines after dark, when low-light, low-activity fish need a bait that hangs in place rather than swims past.

How to work it

Twitch it near structure then let it stall on the pause — that pinpoint hang is where most bites come, rather than from a steady retrieve.

The setup it likes

Pair with a UL–L 6–7 ft light rockfish rod, a 1000–2000 reel, 2–4 lb (PE 0.2–0.3) main line and a 4–6 lb fluorocarbon leader.
