Ima Santis 40

The Ima Santis 40 is a 76mm, 40g sinking blade jig spoon in Ima's Santis range, built to cast further and work deeper water than the smaller Santis 33. A straight retrieve produces a rolling-slalom action, and the larger, heavier body bites the water harder for a bigger action that appeals strongly to flathead. It carries an "ima Original Blade II" for extra flash and vibration on top of the spoon's own roll, and is rigged with a front #10 / rear #6 hook and a #3 split ring.

Despite the extra weight over the 33, the redesigned blade keeps the retrieve feeling light and easy to fish through long sessions, while the bigger body still traces well through a flatfish's feeding zone at low speed. It's aimed primarily at flathead around river mouths and surf beaches, and Ima notes it also performs well on a range of other species.
