The ima GUN吉 40g is a metal jig from ima's GUN三兄弟 (GUN Three Brothers) series — the versatile all-rounder of the three, built to work equally well as a vertical jig or a casting lure.

On the fall it uses a random slide action to work vertical jigging games, while its stable casting distance also makes it effective for casting at blue-fish (青物) and flatfish. The maker built it for aggressive shore-jigging along harbour walls, casting distance that flies like a bullet, and a sharp head-sliding action.
