The blank

The longer 270 cm option in the Happy Haze Tsuri tanzao line, giving a little extra reach over the shorter models while keeping the same simple, sensitive glass-fibre build. This helps where the shorter models in the range can't quite reach the fish.

What it's built for

Built for still-fishing goby (haze) at slightly longer range than the shortest models allow, still fished right off a pier, canal bank or breakwater rather than by casting. This suits spots where the water is a touch further from the bank.

How it fishes

Fished by lowering a small baited rig to the bottom near structure and watching or feeling the tip for a goby's light bite. Strike with a short, gentle lift once the tip dips or trembles.

The setup it likes

Pair with a small reel or fixed-line setup and light line suited to close-range bait fishing. Match small hooks and light sinkers to the size of local goby. a simple fixed-spool reel with basic drag is all this style calls for.
