Description
This HAL Halcyon System popper is a 飛豚60ポッパー (Hibuta60 Popper) unit, a topwater popper built specifically for black sea bream (chinu/kurodai).
Its large face cup throws a big popping sound and bubble spread to call fish from a wide area, and it also works with a head-shake action and a wake-pushing retrieve.
The compact 60mm, 8.5g body casts without wobble for excellent distance, with a 30-degree floating posture and a #8 hook sized for larger fish.
Main targets are black sea bream (kurodai) and kibire (yellowfin sea bream), with juvenile trevally (mekki) and other small migratory fish also taking it in topwater games.
